(Commission/Full Metal Alchemist)

Riza Hawkeye did not doubt the seriousness of her situation, even as she went deeper into the underground hallway. She had nothing in mind that could be called an 'escape plan' either. After all, it was not like she was capable of running away, not while she remained under the watchful eye of the homunculus walking behind her. The one called Pride, who outwardly resembled little more than a child, was more powerful than she could have possibly anticipated. Unlike Roy, who could wield the power of flames at his beck and call with his alchemy, or the Elric brothers with their own talents, Riza only had her sharpshooting skills to rely on. Even if she had a gun on her person, it would likely have done her no good here. Already stripped of her weapons, Riza had nothing with which to protect herself. The one called Pride ushered her along through the dark, moist corridor. He may not have been physically carrying a weapon either, but he didn't NEED to. The very shadows that surrounded them were apparently his weapons. That made him virtually unstoppable.

"You're an impressive one. That message of yours, getting it into the hands of Colonel Roy Mustang, is going to cause a great deal of trouble for us. I never thought we would have had to worry about someone like you at all."

Riza peeked over her shoulder at Pride. With the voice of a little boy he had begun complimenting her all of the sudden. She would have appreciated it from anyone else, even from Mustang. Odd for him to compliment her, though, given what she had done. She had managed to relay the message after discovering the horrible truth that King Bradley's own son was actually a monster, the homunculus known as Pride. Yet she had failed to properly anticipate what would happen next and now she had been captured by the aforementioned monster.

Wherever this place was, Riza already knew that it was the lair it was that these monsters called their home. There could have been no other answer. All around her, she could see things moving, squirming, WRITHING within the shadows. She couldn't tell if there was something or someone hiding there or if the shadows themselves were moving as a result of Pride's incredible powers.

Riza found it to be an alarming thought, the fact that these could be her final moments alive. Fortunately, she had long since learned how to keep herself emotionally under control. She didn't break down into any sort of hysterics. Ever since she had achieved her status of lieutenant, she had kept in mind the potential dangers her position could place her into. It certainly wasn't favorable for her, but that was simply life, and life itself was not favorable towards any one person over another. If anything, she was relieved that it wasn't someone else they had captured. Someone more likely to break and confess military secrets to bargain for their life.

So Riza went on assuming she would likely die here. She tried to do her best to make peace with that fact as she walked along the corridor. Though she would not remember the face for very long or be able to relay its description back to Mustang, Riza was curious to see who was actually Pride's creator, her future killer and the mastermind behind the homunculi crisis itself.

At the end of the corridor, a pair of doors slowly sidled open to reveal a much more spacious room within. Sitting on some kind of bizarre throne, surrounded by even more twitching shadows swarming like sheets of restless locusts, was an old man with long white hair and robes. His face, his hands, his feet, they all displayed the appearance of someone aged and decrepit. Something like pipes hung from the darkness above to attach to his back. Several figures stood on either side of him. A few of them actually looked familiar to Riza. It was such an otherworldly place. She could hear noises yet not see the origins of said noises. The homunculi and the old man stared back at her as if they were gazing at her very soul rather than her face. Riza's heart started to pound just a little bit faster. If only she had a pistol to shoot each and every one of them through their temples.

"So this is the one?" the old man spoke up. His voice was deep and rumbling.

"Yes, Father." Pride spoke up. Father. So this really was their leader, Riza thought to herself.

Suddenly, the blonde woman felt her arms and legs become increasingly restrained by an unknown force. Tendrils of darkness seemed to sprout out of the shadows to grab hold of her. They ensnared her, more and more, until she was unable to move under her own power anymore.

She was dragged in front of Father's throne and forced down onto her knees in front of this 'man', if one could even be so kind to use that word to describe a homunculus. More of the aforementioned tendrils started to wrap around her stomach, chest and even her throat. Riza tried to remain calm as she had been so far. A difficult thing to achieve, she realized, when her airflow was being restricted. Father's eyes remained concealed behind long bangs, but it seemed he was inspecting Riza very carefully. The other homunculi started to suggest different ways in which to handle her.

"Should we kill her?"

"Stab her?"

"Rip her?"

"Burn her?"

"Maybe we can hang her head from the highest building in the capitol for all to see?"

Suddenly, Father spoke up. "I think this one would be useful to us."

"Father?" Pride's voice came off a tad puzzled in response to his creator's decision. He quickly zipped his lips shut and retracted himself from making any further statements. He didn't wish to put his existence in jeopardy.

"We have been searching for a proper replacement for Gluttony for some time now. If this troublesome woman, who has behaved as a thorn in our side for so long, can survive the transformation, then we will be able to fill the gap left within our ranks once again."

"I see." Taking this as a hint, Pride began to loose the hold his tendrils had on Riza's body.

"She's not safe to keep as a hostage because of what she knows. Killing her would be wasteful, like throwing away a perfectly good piece of meat. Turning her into Glutton would be our best course of action."

After listening to all of that, Riza simply couldn't keep quiet anymore. She opened her lips to speak. However, all she managed to get out was the start of a word before Pride's shadows slipped across her throat and clenched down. Riza stammered on her next word and choked. Now that she was being restrained again, Riza had a chance to contemplate her own actions. Pride cutting her off like this, it might have been a godsend. She hadn't actually known what she could have said to Father to convince him to let her go. She would NEVER betray her comrades in the military, for one thing, so that was definitely not an option. It would have been pointless to speak, Riza concluded as her clarity returned to her. Nothing she could possibly say would have made these homunculi change their minds.

Father raised his hand over Riza's hand. He opened his palm. Something small and red began to emerge from his skin. Pride's shadow grabbed Riza's jaw and forced her mouth wide open. Whatever it was, blood or something else, the liquid dripped out of the slit in Father's palm and into Riza's mouth. Riza didn't struggle as another few drips traveled down the length of her throat. She couldn't struggle; Pride's shadows had her immobilized. Once Father had finished, he removed his hand and Pride let go of Riza.

"Now it shall begin."

Riza didn't try to stand and run for the exit or stand and lunge at Father in a final, suicidal attack to protect the country she loved. Her legs curiously refused to agree with her. Most of her body didn't seem to want to agree with her. Pride stepped back. One of the homunculi, named Envy, broke out a wry sneer as he watched on. Riza groaned, grinding both her fingers and her forehead against the dirty floorboards. She did not feel well. She did not feel well AT ALL.

Whatever that liquid had been, it had not taken long for its effects to take place. Riza started to mumble and moan, but then she released her screams. Her wailing rose to a fevered pitch that echoed throughout the chamber before she suddenly, abruptly, passed out. All sound ceased.

Her dreams that followed were not pleasant ones. They were completely indecipherable. She saw flashes of red and white over and over. She could hear the sounds of inhumane screeches coming from nowhere, dozens of them bouncing against the inner-walls of her head. She felt so hot, she could have sprouted into a blossom of flames and melted away. She could feel thousands of needles pricking her skin, but it was from INSIDE of her body rather than outside. In one of her most twisted dreams, her stomach was torn open by shadowy hands, her organs rearranged over and over again, and yet somehow she still lived on. A voice rambling in an ancient tongue crept up behind her. It grew louder and louder until she could hear nothing else but it. The voice slipped through her ear canal, entered her brain, and pounded on her skull. Air refused to enter her lungs no matter how hard she tried. Overwhelming, unbearable, unendurable...it actually made Riza wish the homunculi had just killed her on the spot to spare her this torment.

Everything hurt. Everything burned. Her stomach, emptied of its contents, was starved for anything, anything at all, that could possibly fill it. She needed food. She needed to be freed before it was too late.

But then it stopped. Without any prior warning, all of it stopped. Riza's dreams ended. She opened her eyes and let out a long, long sigh. She wondered, for a split second, if she would see the gates of heaven awaiting her. She even hoped for it.

Yet it didn't take long before she realized she was still alive...ultimately it was a fortunate thing, to be sure. For some reason, she was quite hungry too. Riza attempted to sit up and found that something incredibly heavy seemed to weigh her down. She didn't know what it was and she could barely do much more than sit there on the floor. She huffed and puffed, her lungs struggling because that same unknown weight pushed down heavily upon them. She felt so very off from how she usually did. What was going on with her body? Where did all of this...this MASS come from?

Tilting her head back slowly, Riza Hawkeye discovered both Father and Pride looming over her.

"How do you feel...Gluttony?" said Father.

Riza blinked several times. Then she licked her lips, running them across her plump, pink lips.

"I feel hungry, Father."

"That is very good to hear. Then you may eat as you like."

Riza, or rather Gluttony, sat up on the floor. The origin of the heavy sensation pushing down on her body was as clear as day; at some point during her transformation into a homunculus, her stomach had expanded tremendously. Ten-fold, in fact. Her torso had torn through her uniform, leaving most of it lying in tatters. As large as the original Gluttony's stomach, like she had swallowed a literal boulder made out of lard, Riza's new belly resembled that of a woman's who had never once attempted to exercise or control her diet throughout her entire life. The Lieutenant's thin figure was now a thing of a past, as too was her humanity. The fleshy ball of blubber bobbed and weaved against her chunky knees as Riza slowly, oh so slowly, rose up onto her feet. All of the pain and terror from before had dissipated. The only thing left was hunger.

Actually, it wasn't only her stomach; every single part of Riza's body had been inflated excessively upon taking the mantle of Gluttony. From her puffy-jowled face with extra chins to her beefy bingo-wing arms and juicy rear, Riza must have gained over 200, possibly 300 extra pounds so that she would be able to better represent her new sin. The buttons of her jacket had already been scattered like numerous pebbles across the floor. As Riza stood up further, her jacket split itself in half across her broad back. Her black undershirt still somehow held on, but it had rolled up high enough to become ensnared underneath her large bust. That meant that her entire belly was out on display to all of the onlookers. Yet there was not the slightest ounce of shame to be found.

She had good reason not to be concerned. As a homunculus, the revealing nature of her appearance couldn't have mattered less. Only a few feet away from her was the surplus of edible goods that Father had offered her. A pile of raw meat, vegetables, fruit, sweets and even a few normally-inedible objects as well, probably meant to test her new monstrous abilities. When she had been unconscious, Father had sent several of his homunculi out to the world above to gather food for Riza. It would be the only time he would show such generosity to her, but he wished to welcome his new servant into the world properly.

Drool poured like a waterfall out of Riza's partially agape mouth. She held her flabby arms outstretched, her chubby fingers wiggling in the air. Still in the midst of adapting to her changes, Riza huffed and puffed, easily out of breath from what should have been the minimum amount of effort for her. As soon as she closed the gap between her gut and the food, Riza sat down again and grabbed at the first croissant within reach. She opened her mouth so wide that a third chin momentarily popped out on top of her neck rolls. She swallowed the entire croissant whole without chewing it once. She burped, rubbing her gut briefly, before she resumed eating merrily.

Riza was no longer a human being, even though she may have still resembled one on the outside. In the eyes of those around her at that moment, her past name nor her past identity were of any relevance. She would become simply known as Gluttony from now on, one of Father's most powerful and devoted followers. One of the present homunculi began to snicker behind his hand, although a quick glare from Father was enough to make it cease instantaneously.

"If you find this all to be so amusing, Envy, then I suppose you will not mind being assigned to watching over our new Gluttony for the time being."

Envy glowered. He held his tongue for the sake of keeping his head on his shoulders, but it took a great deal of self-restraint to do so. He quietly watched as Riza eat. She was already halfway through the pile of food that they had painstakingly gathered. Sauce and cream and other sorts of foodstuff had splattered across her face and chest. She stopped only occasionally to wipe it away.

Envy scoffed at her. God, what a pig.

It might have been even worse than the original Gluttony because Riza hadn't been all that bad-looking before she becoming a butterball of a homunculus. Envy walked over and looked her up and down. He reached out and he flicked her at the back of her chubby neck, pinching one of her nape's rolls. Riza did not react, seemingly too concerned with stuffing herself to notice. Envy proceeded to mess with her in a variety of ways, from tugging on her ponytail to groping her fat ass a few times, but Riza continued to display no response to him at all. He might as well have not been there. Envy couldn't stop grinning. He had fully expected Riza to end up being devoured by the power of the Philosopher's Stone, but instead, it seemed like she had fully embraced it. Envy reared his leg back so he could physically kick her. Things were about to jump from 'obnoxious teasing' to 'physical abuse' fairly quickly.

"You should stop before you do something you may regret, Envy." Father warned Envy.

When Envy turned away from Father to look at Riza again, he realized that the woman was glaring at him from over her shoulder. A chunk of raw steak dangled out of her mouth, but that did nothing to lessen the impact of her intense stare. Envy grimaced, a sweat-drop rolling like an ice cube down the side of his head. That was not a woman glaring daggers at him right now. It was a beast eyeing up its prey. Envy lowered his leg and took a few steps back. Here he was, thinking that she had been oblivious to his earlier acts of harassment, but apparently he had underestimated the new Gluttony. If he had tried to kick her just then, Envy did not doubt that his leg would have been torn right out of its socket...by her teeth.

Riza swallowed what remained of the meat in her mouth and belched softly. She resumed eating after making sure, with one final glance, that Envy wasn't about to hurt her. Envy clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He didn't like this one bit. Gluttony was usually a pretty low-ranking member of their homunculi totem pole. So where did she get off, threatening him that way?

"Having someone on our side who originally served as a high-ranking officer within the Amestrian State Military is incredibly useful for everything we will be doing from today onward." Father stated. "However, there is no way we can send Gluttony back to rejoin with her former comrades. She is unable to conceal her figure in her current state. We will require you, Envy, to adopt her appearance and mannerisms for this job."

So that was what the old man had been playing at, Envy realized. He had entrusted Envy to take care of the new female Gluttony on purpose, because then they could have the real Riza providing information to him, the fake Riza. Lust was dead, so she couldn't do anything to help. Envy rubbed the back of his neck, looking over Riza a few more times. Yeah, no way anyone in the military was dumb enough to fall for any excuse that Riza-Gluttony might give. As soon as they saw that gut of hers, it'd be obvious that something was severely wrong.

"I suppose it really is all up to me, isn't it?"

Envy took on her appearance in the blink of an eye. He remembered well about what she originally looked like. If it had not been for the twisted, somewhat psychotic smile that was present, then 'she' would have been a perfect shoe-in for Riza Hawkeye. The original Riza kept shoveling food into her mouth, belching repeatedly in between her pauses to gasp for air. Riza didn't seem to care at all that Envy had adopted her former figure and face. In fact, as she slurped down the last of the candy bars she picked off of the ground, the only thing she could have conceivably given a damn about at that moment was whether or not she would get to eat more soon.

"Mmmph...mm...ah, h-hold on..." Riza's following belch ricocheted off of the walls and rumbled from inside of the tiny throne room. "Ooormph...ooph...is...mmm...is there...H-URP...is there anymore?"

Envy, contorting Riza's visage even further, flew into near-hysterics. He really had no willpower to use to withstand it any longer. "Wow! Just look at you! Are you even aware of what you've become? You are supposed to be that badass bitch Riza Hawkeye, right? The greatest sharpshooter in your little station, right? Roy Mustang's right-hand woman, right? Don't you feel the slightest bit of shame? Or are you too busy thinking about how you're going to stuff that fat face of yours?"

Riza huffed and puffed some more. She couldn't entirely say she liked the way that Envy talked to her, but she didn't even possess the proper energy to get back at him and make a retort. No, she was much too full for that. Her stomach started to produce a sort of weird, crinkling sound as the gas bubbles began to pop. She could feel another belch steadily crawling its way up through her throat. She tried to force it back down by gulping numerous times. It didn't do very much.

"Mmm...I'm feeling full...maybe...just a little bit...sort of..."

Riza licked her lips some more. She tried to rid them of that tantalizing flavor that still seemed to remain present there. She clutched either side of her grand gut and pushed her palms inward. She could literally feel the food rummaging about inside of her. But then, it all started to disappear. Smaller and smaller the mound inside her dissolved before it disappeared completely. Riza frowned. She pressed into her stomach again and felt nothing but a familiar layer of softness. That turgid sensation from before was gone. Unlike in her human form, the food she ate was not turned into normal calories that would cling to her figure and make her all the fatter. Instead, whatever she ate would completely evaporate into nothingness after a brief period of 'digestion'. That was true Gluttony: bottomless, unstoppable, without any sort of rhyme or reason for it. Her stomach was literally a black hole.

Though she had eaten the food well, Father knew that that was only the beginning. Riza's powers as Gluttony were on the verge of truly awakening soon. She would be able to eat anything...and anyone...with relative ease.

A deep ringing sound emitting from the corridor outside drew the attention of the homunculi. It was the alarm of an intruder. Father marched back to his enormous, mechanical throne and sat down upon it. The tendrils that hung from the ceiling inserted themselves into the holes that littered the old man's back. Envy and the others watched intently, awaiting to receive word on the intruder's identity. With his power, Father was able to see all within his 'home', including those who did not belong here.

"It is Roy Mustang."

Envy was the first one to make a joke about it. He was on a roll. He turned to Pride and jabbed an accusatory finger at the young boy's face.

"I thought you were supposed to be the one who made sure no one followed Riza Hawkeye here! Nice job! And here I thought you were supposed to be all powerful with those stupid shadows of yours! Aren't you also supposed to be one of the oldest homunculi too? Bwa ha ha ha!"

Pride, biting his lower lip, would have gladly torn Envy asunder with his shadows, but he knew that Father would ultimately not approve of it. He stepped forward and turned to his creator.

"Father, I will go and rid ourselves of him immediately." said Pride.

Father stopped Pride before he could go and do just that. "No, I believe we shall have Envy and Gluttony deal with the intruder."

In any other situation, Envy would have been enthralled to get another crack at Roy Mustang, but he had to admit that he was just as curious about Father's decision as Pride was. It seemed that in spite of being the old man's creations stemming from himself, Father and his machinations were still mostly an enigma to them all.

"We will make him believe that his comrade is safe and alive, so that he will be the first one, the most important one, that we can trick into following with our scheme. He must be convinced immediately that Envy is the real Riza Hawkeye. After that, Envy will go with him and he will conduct business in her stead to ensure that the military remains unaware. If Roy Mustang learns the truth...that is when we will have Gluttony dispose of him."

The homunculi would have come up with that plan themselves if given enough time, but Father was always the first one to think of it. It was a risky maneuver, considering Roy Mustang possessed a genuine method of fighting back with his fire-based alchemy. However, Envy knew that Roy cared too much about Riza to ever want to risk hurting her. Even a fake of her would make him take pause if he had to fight back. Envy recalled it was just like with that officer that he and Lust had killed a while back. All Envy had to do was take on the appearance of someone they loved or cared about and their human target would be rendered helpless by their 'emotions'. It was pathetic, really.

Envy snickered. Whether Roy fell for the trick or not, he knew that he was going to have fun with this.

Gluttony hoisted herself to her feet once more, tiny belches expelling out of her throat like bullets from a pistol. She scratched at her buttocks rather brazenly. All of the modesty from her original life had been forgotten. She turned to Father and Envy with an unnaturally cruel-looking sneer on her lips, not that much unlike what Envy was already wearing. The devious glint in her eyes proved that she desired to see Roy Mustang suffer too. She was a last resort, but she was ready to be one hell of a last resort.

"When can we - URP - go and meet with him, Father?"

"You may go right now, as you please." Father waved them both away.

Envy led the way, but he couldn't help himself from taking a few peeks back at the woman behind him. Just seeing how much the new and 'improved' Riza Hawkeye wobbled and shook with every lumbering step she forced herself to take...it was simply too hilarious for words.

She was still very bloated after her earlier gorging and it was clearly having an effect on her. Though the food within her stomach had dissipated almost instantaneously, the limited stamina spent doing the eating had left her tuckered out. Her arms stuck far out from her sides, the loose fat rolls dangling on her former biceps swinging gently to her movements. It seemed that she became exhausted from the undeniably strenuous task of lifting her legs. Given the way she would constantly grunt and groan while her inner-thighs rubbed together, she was clearly unaccustomed. Riza was not ready yet to carry so much heft at one time. She'd get used to it, Envy thought, but it would take longer than it did for her to become a homunculus. Her puffy jowls were eclipsed in sheets of sweat, as were her extra chins. Her pants showed a terrible habit of burrowing themselves deep inside the crack of her fat ass. Twice already she had to stop her waddling for a few seconds to reach behind her and yank them out. They never seemed to stop from slipping inside her bum for very long, though. Her huge breasts were only staying still because her bra restrained them so well.

She might not have looked all that useful on the outside, but on the inside, her soul was being further consumed by Gluttony's. The alchemy symbol present on the lower half of her belly released a soft, red glow every couple of seconds. Her true powers were going to show themselves soon. Envy wondered if Roy Mustang would make a good test subject.

"You can handle this, can't you, blubber-butt?" Envy said.

Riza-Gluttony struggled to speak because of how frequently she panted. "I-I can do this for Father...I will make that man suffer...and I will break him...and force him...to bend to our whims..."

Envy nodded his head. At the very least, after her transformations, along with her incredible weight gain, it seemed she had become quite obedient. It was a lucky thing that one of the most prominent aspects of the homunculi were their unfettered loyalty to Father. Envy didn't want to be on the snack side of things whenever Riza became hungry.

As they went along further, Envy spotted the presence of a light in the distant darkness. It had to have been the Colonel. Envy considered the plan of action that he had been given ahead of time. He COULD approach Roy wearing Riza's face and convince him that they should return to the surface, thus allowing him to infiltrate the military rather easily. Or he could have the new Gluttony assault Roy and drive him to the ends of madness, making him despair from seeing what had happened to his dear friend and/or lover. The latter sounded so much more DELIGHTFUL, but Envy knew that he had to stick to Father's orders.

"Let me take care of this. I'll let you know if...or when...it's time for you to come waddling over."

"I understand."

"Actually, wait a few moments and let's plan this out. I just had a devilish idea! I want you to say what I'm about to tell you, alright?"

"Alright." Riza grinned, very much looking forward to seeing that strained expression of terror on Roy Mustang's face.

Roy Mustang, however, was far away from feeling anything quite like terror at that moment. No, the only thing he felt right now was a rage so unfiltered and unregulated that it threatened to burn him alive. He would have gladly set this entire place ablaze if he could have done it easily. However, there was one major reason that he did not, apart from the fact that most of the lair was made out of natural earth. He had to save Riza Hawkeye. He had made a promise that he did not intend to break. There was nothing conceivably more important at this moment than saving Riza. After losing Hughes like he had, Roy was adamant in keeping those he cared about protected, especially against the homunculi. If he saw one of them up ahead, he would burn them until they were a pile of ashes. No questions asked.

"C-Colonel Mustang! Colonel Mustang, is that you? Did you...did you really come to save me? Oh my God, thank you so much!"

Roy stopped dead in his tracks. Riza Hawkeye, slender as he had always known her, came running out of the darkness towards him. She threw her arms open in an attempt to embrace him. Unlike what she would have expected, Roy did not return the gesture in kind. He eyed the young woman with a great deal of scrutiny, one hand kept in preparation of a snap. It was actually as if he would really set on fire his own comrade. Riza frowned at him, cocking her head slightly.

"Colonel Mustang, what are you doing? We need to get out of here! I managed to slip away from the homunculi while they were preoccupied, but they're already aware that I'm gone! If we run like hell, we should be able to get out of here with our heads still on our shoulders! We need to let the others now! We need to figure out what do with this!"

Roy remained exactly where he stood, his feet firmly rooted to the ground.

"What are you doing? Let's go, Colonel Mustang!"

Roy shook his head. "You're not Riza at all, are you?"

Riza stared back at Roy with widened eyes. She looked terror-stricken. "Do you think I'm some sort of fake? What is wrong with you, Colonel?"

"Well, you ARE a fake, aren't you? You don't even talk like Riza at all. She would never sound even remotely this desperate. She's always been good at keeping a calm head, regardless of the situation. I'm sorry but if you wish to make me fall for your tricks you would have to try much harder. You...you're the homunculus that can adopt different appearances, aren't you?"

Riza blinked a few times in surprise, but soon she was all grins. The kind of psychopathic grin you would expect from Envy.

"You're a smart one, Colonel Mustang. You didn't have any trouble figuring me out at all, did you?" Envy dropped the false voice he had been using until now and spoke normally again, although he did not dispel Riza's appearance from his face.

"Like I said, I know Riza." Roy braced himself for the right moment to attack.

"Oh, you think you know Riza Hawkeye, eh?" It was repulsive for Roy to have to see Envy laughing so maniacally with Riza's face. "Do you really think that you know her? Well, what do you think you know about her after you see what we've done to her?"

There was a murderous glint in Roy's eye. He grabbed Envy by the lapels and prepared to scorch him alive. "What. Did. You. Do?"

"How about you see for yourself? This is what you get for thinking you can defy US!"

The true Riza Hawkeye, massively obese and going under the moniker of Gluttony, slowly waddled out of the shadows. Roy's anger vanished in a flash. As much as he wanted to retain his rage, Roy could not keep himself from becoming overwhelmed with a great sense of shock. He silently observed as the enormously meaty Riza sauntered towards him, one thunderously thick leg in front of the other. Riza giggled at his awestruck gaze. It was exactly what she had hoped it would be.

Riza began to reach out to him. Roy released Envy and stepped away in a panic. Riza giggled to herself, clearly enjoying how uncomfortable she made him with her presence. Once she was close enough, Roy being emotionally unable to either fight back or resist her, the new Gluttony gently pressed her thumb against the tip of his chin. She very slowly dragged her chubby digit upwards until she had her entire hand cupping his cheek. Roy was already convinced that this was the real Riza. He didn't need Envy or any of the other homunculi to explain it to him. He could see it in her eyes that it was really her. Yet what had been done to her? Why was she so...so...so BIG? How could she have become such a size in so short a time? Did the homunculi do something to her? What purpose would there be for turning her into this bloated sack of blubber?

Roy tried to grab Riza's hand and pull it off of his face, but before he could do so, Riza herself took several steps back. She put distance between them again. For some reason, Riza appeared quite offended by his attempt to touch her.

"Uh-uh!" Riza shook her head, waving a chubby finger at the man as if she were scolding a child.

"W-What?" Roy was still struggling to force his brain to comprehend Riza's unbelievable changes, so he wasn't in the most capable state for conversation at the moment. Envy's wild fits of laughter could be heard in the background.

"I'm not letting you have this so easily! You're acting coy with me, aren't you? Pretending like you don't want it! How mean is that? Come on and admit it, Colonel Mustang! You really do want to touch this, don't you?" Riza snickered like a teasing schoolgirl, giving her heavy belly a few generous pats to allow it to ripple sensually in front of him.

"I..." Roy didn't quite know how to feel. These would have been words he'd expect to hear out of Envy's mouth while disguised. This wasn't anything the real Riza Hawkeye would say of her own volition.

"Well, you can't have it! I mean, I wouldn't mind it so much if I let you, I bet you'd love how soft it is, but you have to WORK for it if you want to get with me! I'm far more beautiful now than I've ever been! I don't know if I'd even have to bother settling for someone like you anymore. I could get anyone I want!"

"Riza, what have they DONE to you?" Roy shouted out loud.

"To be more precise, she's not actually Riza Hawkeye anymore. She's 'Gluttony' now. She survived the transformation into a homunculus! Isn't that lucky?" Envy said.

Roy looked about ready to reduce a certain someone to cinders. "What did you just say?"

Suddenly and without warning, Riza lunged forward to collide her gargantuan gut against Roy's much flatter abdomen. Being far larger than him, the former Lieutenant was easily able to overpower the man. It took all Roy had not to let himself be knocked down onto the floor at once. Instead, he only stumbled backwards, but his whole body ached like crazy. He coughed, clutching at his chest; the strike from Riza's belly had both rattled his ribs and knocked the air out of his lungs. Riza must have been two, no, three times bigger than she had been before. Roy would have preferred being punched by her over something like this. Riza-Gluttony grabbed Roy by his collar and pulled him close enough to kiss him. Instead of doing that, she belched directly into his face. He could smell the salt, the grease, the calories were practically right there in her breath. It made him gag.

"You're a handsome man, Colonel Mustang. I notice this when I look at you so closely." Riza purred softly. "A very handsome man, in fact. So handsome that I could almost kiss you. There were actually times where I wanted to in the past, but I didn't. You want to know why I didn't? Because I know that deep down you are nothing but a shallow man who only likes women who are equally shallow as you. You reacted with such disgust when you saw me, didn't you? Hmph, how shallow could you honestly be? You've known me for so long and now you find me repulsive? How deep are you willing to cut me, Colonel Mustang?"

"Riza, do you really feel this way? And why do you keep acting aloof and then coming onto me? Are you trying to play hard to get?" Frankly, Roy was very, very confused. "No, that doesn't matter! Listen to me, Riza! You need to-"

Riza grabbed one of Roy's wrists and forced his hand onto the curve of her stomach. "Okay, how about we try and do this one last time? Don't you feel it? Don't you feel this amazingly soft belly of mine? You could have all of this and more if you wanted, but I'm not sure if I would ever want to even GIVE it to you in the first place. Well, now that you've gotten a chance to feel it for yourself, I can tell you right now that you definitely don't deserve it! The only thing you TRULY deserve is to become a meal for me to stuff my belly with!"

Roy couldn't take it anymore. It was clear that Riza was not saying any of these things because she honestly wanted to. Yanking his hand out of her grasp, the Colonel slapped both of his palms onto Riza's chubby cheeks. He stared her deep, DEEP into her eyes. There was no fear or anger or sadness to be found in his eyes. In spite of her newfound powers as a homunculus and her apparent allegiance to the villainous Father, Riza was the one who found herself the most shaken by Roy's behavior. She was paralyzed by his glare.

"W-What are you...?" she attempted to say, but Roy swiftly cut her off.

"Riza, I know you're still in there!"

"Roy...you're yelling right into my face..."

"The real you! Your SOUL! The thing that's still fighting against this homunculus that's taken over your body! You're not dead! I know you're not! I refuse to believe that could be possible! The woman I've worked with all this time, I know that she'd never fall against a 'minor inconvenience' like this! You need to wake up, Riza! Wake up! Take back your body and wake up! If you let yourself be consumed by the Philosopher's Stone inside of you, you'll be gone forever! I know you can come back from this! You're Riza Hawkeye, goddammit! If there was anyone who can do it, it's you!"

Envy proceeded to morph his hand into a hooked claw. He was no longer laughing as he said, "You know, Colonel, sometimes it's a good idea to keep your mouth shut, especially when it's going to get you in a whole lot of trouble."

"Don't give in, Riza! Don't let the homunculus inside of you win! You can hear me from inside there, can't you? Snap out of it already! As your commanding officer, I demand that you pull yourself together, woman! I don't give a damn if you're thin or fat or whatever else! I want you to be by my side and support me so we can rise the ranks and protect this beloved country of ours! If you want me to love you, then I'll love you every single day for the rest of our lives! But I can't do that, Riza, unless you come back to me!"

Riza didn't say anything. She was stunned and slack-jawed, but it was clear that something deep inside of her had begun to stir.

Envy attempted to separate Roy Mustang's head from his body. However, the homunculus did not make it quite so far. While he was jumping in mid-air, a hand latched itself onto his ankle and thrust him back down onto the ground. He smashed his skull with a loud CRACK against the concrete. Envy screamed out loud as the blood gushed out. It had been Gluttony, the former Riza, that had done it. Envy reverted his appearance to his typical human form, sealed the gaping wound on his temple and stood up. Roy put several feet between himself and the homunculi as the two mighty monsters, one of them his dear friend, stared each other down.

Envy didn't need much goading to turn his claws on his supposed teammate. "You stupid fat bitch!"

Riza had already started to make a move before Envy could react. She opened her mouth. Wielding the power of Gluttony to its fullest advantage, she was able to stretch her jaws extremely wide. Wide enough, to be precise, that she was more than capable of swallowing Envy whole and without issue. The true power of Gluttony had awoken inside of its new host and it was being used to betray Father. A few wayward claws and needle-sharp teeth bulged from her gums. With incredible strength Riza was able to hold Envy in place as she proceeded to eclipse him. Envy gasped. From deep inside that veritable black hole that was Riza's throat, he could see an eye staring back at him. He wasn't going to be eaten, necessarily. Gluttony had the power to transport anything that was 'devoured' into an alternate dimension from within where none can escape. It would not be impossible for another homunculus such as Envy to get out, but it might take him a good, long while.

"Shit."

In an instant, or maybe even in less time than that, Envy was gone. Riza shut her mouth and licked her lips. She made a face. Envy had not tasted good at all.

Roy grabbed Riza from behind and hugged her. Well, he tried to hug her, but since she was so much bigger than he was used to with her, he found it fairly difficult as well as awkward as he attempted to make his arms fit around that gigantic belly. Riza didn't try to stop the Colonel from touching her. Instead, she began to shiver. She looked over at Roy with great anguish. There were hot tears threatening to roll down like so many waterfalls over her chubby cheeks.

"Colonel, I'm back, but I have nowhere to go."

"Don't say that. That's not true."

"It is, and you know it."

After making sure that they had no wounds and no one was following them, Roy and his returned lieutenant began to head back towards the corridor's entrance. Though Father might have been awaiting them at the opposite end, they knew that they were not strong enough to take on an entire group of homunculi by themselves. Now was the time to regroup, make plans and prepare for a method of attack to eliminate the pests. Roy ushered Riza to go faster, but her morbid obesity made anything beyond a speedy waddle a near-impossibility.

"Tell me, though, did my words really bring you back from the depths?" Roy asked her.

"I was fighting that whole time when I was saying all of those strange things to you. It wasn't until you started urging me on that I was finally able to find the strength to truly take over and push away the homunculus impulses. I don't know if this clarity will last."

"What do you mean?"

Riza flew into a tizzy as she rambled on and on. "I was able to eliminate Envy, but he was only one of many! Worst still, I AM one of those many! I could end up reverting back into a mindless killing machine at any moment! The memories I still have of who I was, of you and everyone back at the office, they could start fading away, disappearing over time until I don't even know what I used to be anymore! You saw what I'm capable of just now, Colonel Mustang! I'm not HUMAN anymore! I'm a giant, fat, disgusting monster! And I'm not saying that just because I don't like being obese! I'm now the enemy of this nation, Colonel Mustang!"

Roy held onto Riza's cheeks just as he had done before, but now he did with an obvious tenderness.

"You might be a homunculus, but that doesn't mean that you cannot also be my friend." Roy deftly shot back.

"Colonel, please listen to yourself!"

"I have no intention of abandoning you here as long as you are still able to show signs of your humanity. I promised a good man, your REAL FATHER, that I would protect you. I intend to keep that promise. I want to keep you safe just as sincerely as he did."

Riza knew that it was highly out of her typical character to do this, but after hearing Roy's passionate assertions that he would help her she could not help herself. She waddled around and embraced Roy from the front. She used her fleshy bingo-wing arms to engulf the Colonel's entire head. She normally would have never allowed him in such close proximity with her chest, but she felt like it was fair for her to give some leeway for it just this one time.

Her pulpy yet bone-crushing embrace literally squeezed the air out of Roy's lungs (the second time she had done such a thing using her body against him) and nearly shattered his poor rib-bones. However, he was okay with accepting the painful pressure of her girth this time around. He made an earnest attempt to return the hug. He could only get so far, unfortunately. He had already learned well that such a big woman would be difficult to take into his arms because of the eminence of her circumference. He took a quick pinch at one of her love-handles, wanting to inspect it for himself. His fingers dug rather deep into the doughy skin. The skin itself felt both smooth and soft, like the texture of a top-grade cloth. Feeling it around some more, he knew that this was definitely real fat that encased Riza's frame. Roy didn't know if things like consistent exercise and a steady diet would be able to make Riza thin again, given that she now possessed the attributes of Gluttony, but it was worth giving it a shot...or not. The more he felt her up, the more Roy concluded that he kind of liked Riza this way. He knew it was a bad sort of thinking, but this flabby figure was a cute contrast to her normally stern personality.

After they finished hugging, Roy took Riza's hand, gave it a gentle squeeze, and the two of them ran (and waddled) their way back to the surface. He decided that his first order of business would not be contacting the military but instead finding a place for Riza to hide. They would reveal what had happened to her in time, but not until they knew what exactly was going to happen to her. Roy had no intention of giving up on Riza after this. He had almost lost her once and now he would never let her go again.

"Say, Riza?"

"What is it, Colonel Mustang?"

"Those things you said about wanting to kiss me and playing hard to get like that...was that you or the homunculus talking?"

"It should be fairly obvious, sir."

"Now that's a vague answer if I've ever heard one."

"You should be glad I don't eat you right now, Colonel Mustang. I'll have you know that, at this moment, I am very, VERY hungry."

A recent commission I finished and thoroughly edited starring Riza Hawkeye of Full Metal Alchemist fame. The main plot was devised by the commissioner of this piece.

This series had ended a while ago now, but it's still quite popular, and it even has a live action movie coming soon. I had written a few FMA fics before, but nothing about it in quite some time. This one was a fun one to do and I was definitely looking to post it. Hopefully it isn't too cheesy with the interactions between Roy and Riza in the latter half. Please let me know what you think!
