Corrin had only just stepped off of the last step of the ladder leading into his personal tree house quarters when he heard his beloved wife crying out for him.

"Corrin! W-We've got trouble!"

Even before he had opened the door, the young prince already knew full well what to expect. Corrin entered his room without a word. He saw Felicia standing in front of the full-body mirror. She was being forced to acknowledge how fat she'd gotten since the war's end, which, unfortunately for her, she did not like at all.

"I really thought I wouldn't mess this up...like I mess up everything else I do that's related to my job..."

Felicia held up the torn scraps of black and white cloth and bindings that she was supposed to be wearing. Unfortunately, none of it Felicia sniffled; there were tears already stinging the corners of her eyes, but she refused to let herself burst into a sobbing fit in front of her husband. Unfortunately, it was probably BECAUSE of her marriage that she had become so terribly out of shape. It should have been a happily ever after for the two of them, but becoming a prince's wife had brought about new challenges for Felicia that she hadn't thought were challenges to begin with.

Corrin had managed to convince her that it would be safer if she remained off of the battlefield. He had already cared much for her safety to begin with, but now that they were a married couple, his concern had become ten-fold. Although she had initially protested against the idea of not accompanying her husband into the battlefield, Felicia eventually relented and agreed to play a passive role from now on. She was able to provide for Corrin in various ways before and after his battles. However, because Corrin was often away for long periods at a time, Felicia found herself sitting around with nothing to do more times than she'd like, and to help combat her boredom, she got into eating too. A lot of eating, in fact.

She had a few paranoid or neurotic tendencies to go along with her extreme clumsiness and occasional stuttering, but things like Corrin and eating seemed to help take her mind off of it. Both were fantastic beyond compare, but during the many times when Corrin was not available, she found food to be a nice little substitute, although she was never able to prepare any of it herself. Luckily that new girl Anna hung around often too, and she was a far better cook than Felicia herself could have ever been.

Now, the chubby Felicia let the scraps of her ruined maid outfit drop out of her trembling hands and gather onto the growing pile at the bottom of her feet. Her weight gain wasn't as excessive as some of the other female soldiers wandering the astral plane, but that wasn't a fact she had any right to be proud of. She had a chubby little belly that oozed precariously over her underwear's edge, while the rest of her body showed signs of a fuller, thicker texture as well. There were bumps, ridges and even some developing rolls in places where they shouldn't have been. Her cherubic face was scrunched up over the distress of her 'grotesque' growth, sweat-drops rolling like tears down the corners of her pale face. Felicia couldn't think of any possible way she could excuse her poor actions or her poorer diet plan.

"I'm so sorry, Corrin! I got so...I got so...!"

Felicia's eyes welled up with hot, stinging tears. At the same time, she unintentionally summoned a freezing gust of wind within the bedroom, scattering frost all over the sheets and the book shelf. She didn't want to have to say the words aloud. Even worse, if she ever became too distressed, her powers over ice would start manifesting against her will. It was like she simply was not allowed to be happy with herself.

Suddenly, Corrin darted across the room and embraced his wife Felicia from behind. She gasped. Corrin's thin yet athletic body frame pushed into the doughy contours of her flab. Felicia sniffled again. A cold wind blew against Corrin's face. Felicia offered a small struggle in retaliation, but that was about it, as the sadness continued to strangle her metaphorically. However, Corrin continued to hold her, and eventually his warmth, his genuine love for her, had managed to overcome the cold bitterness of her ice powers. Felicia couldn't believe that this was happening to her.

"Felicia, it'll be alright."

"Corrin, you surprised me when you grabbed me so suddenly-"

"There's nothing wrong with you as you are. You may think it's bad you've gotten bigger, and even while it's a fact that you have not been the best maid-"

"Hey! I tried my b-best, okay? Why do you have to bring up my maid skills now?"

"But," Corrin continued, smiling as he did so, "You'll always be the perfect wife for me, no matter what."

Felicia was taken aback at first. Then, she really started to cry, and Corrin discovered that he was unable to stop her. Soon, the center of their bedroom appeared as if it were caught in the center of a winter wonderland, but the couple could not have been any happier in each other's arms.

Even though Hinoka was a princess and thus someone of royal blood, she never allowed herself to take on an easy life. Rather, she preferred spending her days training out on the field or caring for her pegasi in the stables. She was a pegasus rider, a sky knight, through and through; it was what she had considered her true calling when she first began learning the ways of warfare, and she liked to believe she was truly skilled at what she did. An essential part in being a sky knight was to develop a proper relationship with one's winged horse. It needed to be able to trust you as much as you needed to be able to trust it. Hinoka was always brushing, brushing, brushing to ensure that her pegasus had the shiniest coat in all of the army, which in turn hardened the bond they shared as rider and horse. Her husband Kaden was very helpful in this regard; he knew a good deal about proper brushing techniques and which combs worked best for what coats. For such a flippant man, one who possessed a rather strong degree of narcissism, he was quite loyal and even romantic. The war had ended some time ago, but caring for the stables and the horses within was a mutually indulging hobby that they couldn't ever give up.

The only thing Hinoka ever truly worried about anymore was that the peacetime may have done serious damage to her waistline, but it was a concern she always hesitated to bring up with her husband. Kaden himself seemed blissfully unaware of his wife's gain.

"Hey, I brought the brushes!" Kaden climbed over the stable gate rather than simply unlocking it.

Hinoka placed the wet sponge back into the bucket. She looked over her shoulder to address her husband. "That's great! Bring them over here so we can try them out already!"

"They're the softest ones yet! Trust me, I made sure to try them on myself first before buying them!" chuckled the fox-man.

"Yeah?"

"Of course! Only the very best, you said! And with a furry tail as great and luxurious as mine, who else would make a better judge of deciding what's the best?"

Hinoka grinned. "I think that makes a lot of sense,"

Kaden removed one of the brushes from the bag and approached Hinoka. He intended to hand it over to her, but he stopped just short of doing so. He quickly looked his wife up and down. Hinoka noticed this little glance and it made her suddenly feel uncomfortable. She had been trying rather hard lately to not let her husband's attention linger too long on her developing belly. Hinoka had made several attempts to work out before, even dragging her lazy retainers Azama and Setsuna into the mix as well, but nothing seemed to work in burning away those unwanted pounds. Wearing both her heavily-padded work uniform and apron for stable work, Hinoka had hoped that she could hide her natural bigness behind more bigness. It had seemingly worked well in days past, so she didn't know why her husband's eye was suddenly being drawn to her torso like this.

Kaden smiled at her.

Hinoka nervously shuffled in place. A hot blush rose to the surface of her cheeks. "W-What are you doing, Kaden...?"

"You know, I'm not claiming that my fur, or her fur," Kaden made a curt nod to Hinoka's pegasus, "Aren't fluffy and soft and cuddly at all, but...you know, I can't help but want to be drawn to similar things."

"I'm seriously beginning to wonder what you're going on about." Hinoka had a pretty good idea of what it was, though. She started getting anxious.

Kaden figured that if he was going to say this right, he might as well be both blunt and honest. "I figured you didn't want me to talk about it because it'd make you uncomfortable, but...I kind of want to know how soft your belly is, Hinoka. Maybe it's the softest thing ever conceived, but I won't know for sure unless I get to touch it myself."

"What?" Hinoka's jaw dropped. She knew it!

"D-Don't worry, I promise I'll make it up to you! A kitsune always swears to repay those who help them!"

Hinoka had tried so hard to keep herself in shape, but it hadn't been enough. She hated diet food like tofu and she couldn't stand the thought of eating her white rice plain. When one was spending often so much time at the mess hall, where she and Setsuna learned how to cook under Jakob's tutelage, it was nigh-impossible for her to keep from having a few snacks throughout the lesson. She had thought she could have had a stronger sense of willpower, a stronger resistance toward the temptations of food, but yet here she was. She loved caring for the pegasi but she hadn't ridden one in weeks because she was afraid her heft could potentially damage its back.

She was almost entirely belly-heavy when it came to the matter of of her weight gain. Her face, arms and legs were basically untouched, although if one peered close enough and squinted their eyes they may just be able to notice the slight plumpness in her cheeks. Hinoka had never been blessed with a bust, she would always be a far cry from matching Camilla's impressive chest in comparison, but she did gain an extra cup to her chest for what it was worth. In a cruel twist of fate, the part of her she had wanted to grow least of all had become the very biggest. Her stomach had managed to reach such a size that it literally got in the way of almost everything she did. Her belly could have been concealed by most clothes if they were long and loose enough, but as of late, that had become more difficult to do easily. Her belly was like a great and heavy sack. When she sat down, Hinoka's stomach flowed like spilled syrup over her skinny legs. Her retainers had pointed out her gain to her multiple times already but that didn't mean she tried to act like the topic was remotely negotiable. Ignorance was bliss in this case and it was a bliss she wished to hold onto as long as possible. Anyone would have told her that it would be impossible to keep her gain a secret from her husband forever. Hinoka wasn't sure why she thought it had any chance to begin with, honestly.

The last time she had checked her weight with one of the kitchen scales, she weighed a dozen over 200 pounds. 212 pounds and hardly any of it was muscle at all. It had gotten so bad that Hinoka stopped trying to think about her weight altogether to keep her sanity intact. Yet now Kaden was bringing everything to the forefront at this very moment. She had no choice but to confront the truth.

Her husband wanted to pet her stomach as if it were some sort of pudgy pet.

"Come on, it'll only be a moment, is all!" Kaden insisted, his ears and tails standing up perfectly straight.

"I...I don't know..." Hinoka's cheeks flushed even brighter.

"Are you upset that I brought up your recent weight gain, Hinoka?"

"Well, I kind of am..." Hinoka paused.

"Kind of?"

"But I...I think it's still kind of a good thing that you want to accept it rather than hate it..." Hinoka couldn't believe she had said that just now.

Kaden's tail started wagging.

"So I can pet it?"

"...Just a little bit..."

As it so happened, Hinoka's belly turned out to be the softest thing that Kaden had ever laid his hands on, even in comparison to his own tail.

Ryoma slipped away the latest book he had finally had time to read into its appropriate space on the shelf. He heard a sound, like the lightest of footsteps causing a creak in the floorboards. A very minute sound. Most people would have easily overlooked it. As the new king of Hoshido and a samurai of great renown, Ryoma was more than capable of catching it without difficulty. In fact, it would have been a disgrace to his responsibilities if he let his guard remain so down. He smirked to himself. He knew exactly what the origin of that noise was, so much so that he didn't have to reconsider it for a second. The ninja of Hoshido were the greatest in all of the land, but not even a ninja could be truly without emotion. Ryoma may not have seen her as often as he would have liked, but he knew his wife when he heard her. The weightiness of her figure may have helped give away her position easier too.

Ryoma considered remaining quiet for the sake of retaining his beloved's dignity, but as husband and wife, it was only proper they spent some time together. "Kagero?"

For several moments, there was only silence. Ryoma waited.

"Kagero?" he asked again.

The silence resumed, heavy, empty and cold. Ryoma frowned as he began to assume that he may have been mistaken after all. Deciding not to wait any longer or hold onto his expectations, he resumed sorting his books. He intended to leave and polish his blade for the next hour until dinner time. Suddenly, the earlier sound returned, and this time much louder and more prominent. Done with playing games as he was, Ryoma turned around to address the plump woman lingering in the shadows.

"...Kagero?"

"I truly have lost my talents as both a skilled ninja and capable retainer, haven't I, Lord Ryoma?"

"Hah. Nonsense. I don't know why you would even entertain such an idea, my love."

Kagero didn't know what to say, she just raised her hands and then let them flop uselessly to her sides. This small act caused a sequence of ripples that spread further and further across her chubby frame until her entire body was jiggling madly. In her thinner days, before and during the war, she could have easily spent hours upon hours in concealed silence, all without ever drawing Ryoma's attention to herself at all. However, those days were ones now long gone for the young woman. This was not the first time she had unintentionally ruined her cover because of it, either; she'd even once accidentally belched and was forced to retreat before the enemy soldiers could find her. Saizo had really reprimanded her for that one.

Ryoma was both the man she had sworn to always protect and the man who had taken her hand in marriage. It was an unusual thing they had going, because Kagero was quite sure if any sort of 'handbook' for retainers existed then it would clarify that being a bodyguard and being a spouse were supposed to be two mutually exclusive relationships. However, they managed to make it work. Ryoma did not allow their marriage to override Kagero's comforts of being a ninja, so officially she was not considered the Queen of Hoshido. Ryoma did, though, insist that she at least attend dinners and other social events with him. That caused the young woman to be confronted with more food, delicious food at that, than she had ever seen before. She feared she may have let her appetite get away from her more often than not. The proof was not so much in the pudding, but in the pudding-like texture of her new, flabby potbelly. She never would have thought it, and she wished she didn't HAVE to think it either, but apparently calories stuck to her body like flies to honey. She'd never worried about keeping her weight down during her fighting days, so this was all very new to her.

Kagero attempted to appear inconspicuous as she stealthily slipped one chubby hand behind her backside to readjust her uniform. 'Inconspicuous' was supposed to be the name of the game for a shinobi, but Ryoma kept staring at her with this sort of goofy grin on his face. A 'wildfire' would not have been a wrong term to describe how fast and hot the blush burst out onto Kagero's pale cheeks.

When she had gained, her breasts had ultimately ended up growing the biggest, which surprised no one at all. This was followed by her hips and backside, giving her a very hourglass-like shape with voluptuous thighs as well as a shapely rear that sometimes threw off her center of gravity. Her butt wasn't the only thing that made agile movements difficult, it was her entire body. Even though her pot-belly paled in comparison to her other curves, it tended to strain her outfit a lot, which was another discomfort to deal with. Her breasts were the worst offenders of all, though. She didn't particularly like standing around her companions while her tits were constantly on the verge of flopping out and exposing themselves. Not much kindness it did for her back or her reputation, nor her pride as a shinobi. Yet she couldn't stop herself from still wanting to eat even more. She must have weighed, at a rough estimate, at almost 250 pounds by now.

Kagero didn't hate who she was or who she had become, but she was frustrated nonetheless. She was the wife of a king, which meant she had some pretty heavy expectations to live up to, pun not intended. She needed to do her very best. She never thought she would end up being courted by Ryoma despite being his retainer, but she'd also never thought she'd become such a fatty, so life continued to throw her through unexpected loops. Once she had finished readjusting her skirt, Kagero tried to push her cleavage back inside her uniform, but that wasn't something she could do quite as easily. Ryoma grinned at her.

"It's only you and me here, Kagero. We are husband and wife. There is no need to be so vigilant all the time. Please, relax yourself."

Kagero glided her fingers across the surface of her supple chest. Her fingernails lightly pushed down onto the flesh to leave an indent. "I...I know that, Lord Ryoma, but I simply cannot...while I'm standing right here in front of you..."

"I can see that you take your obligations of protecting me very seriously, so seriously in fact that it can even be done at the detriment of yourself. I wish you didn't have to be that way, Kagero, but...I do commend you highly for how responsible you are to your duties. You are the most loyal and trustworthy woman I've ever had to come under my services."

Kagero would have bowed, but then her breasts would really have popped out. "T-Thank you, Lord Ryoma!"

"However," Ryoma continued, folding his broad arms across his chest, "As I said, I think you deserve to relax once in a while. Staying on edge like this all of the time, I cannot imagine the amount of stress it must impose on you."

"Hmm...maybe you are right, my lord..." Kagero mumbled under her breath.

"Then come and have lunch with me. I would enjoy it very much!" Ryoma said.

Kagero knew that eating more wouldn't solve her weight gain problems. In fact, it would only expedite them. Ryoma surely had more plans in mind for the pair than just simply lunch, but it had been a long while since they last spent quality time together, so doing this with him...it might not be so bad. She could always start jogging around the castle perimeters another day.

"Okay, my lord. I would like to have lunch with you."

"I will make sure to have as many dishes prepared for you as you like, so please, don't be shy, Kagero. I enjoy watching you eat and how happy it makes you."

"Huh?" Kagero's eyes widened nearly several times their normal size.

"I...I enjoy spending time with you." Ryoma replied as he quickly went about correcting himself. He held out his hand for Kagero to take it.

Kagero, out of her vast love for her husband, was willing to place her hand into his. She wanted to be with him, after all. She didn't know if she'd be able to ever lose this wad of dough around her middle or if she could ever wear a moderately-sized bra again, but at least she knew that she had two things. The peace of life after war, and Ryoma himself. It made accepting her gain a little easier.

Jakob entered Sakura's reading room with a platter of various snack-foods in hand. This was the third time he had gone back and forth between the kitchens and Sakura's room, but as a butler of great experience, he was not unused to such repeated travels. He made sure to pick the fluffiest, sweetest and most fattening treats available from the chefs, as he knew those were the ones that his wife Sakura enjoyed the most.

"I've brought you more, just as you requested, my beloved. I have gone and personally ensured that the chefs on duty have filled all of the cream puffs with the maximum amount of cream possible."

Just like Felicia, even though he had managed to find himself a loving partner in one with royal blood, Jakob had not chosen to disavow his commitments as a butler for the comforts of wealth. He now simply had two people he dedicated his life to serving; his original master, Corrin, and his wife, Sakura. He may not have been a respected general or a high-ranking soldier within any army, but his loyalty was just as sturdy and iron-clad as the rest of them.

Looking up from her book, Sakura smiled sweetly at her approaching husband. "T-Thank you, Jakob, but you really didn't have to, you know."

"Oh, I hope you don't mind me being rude, but...Milady?"

"I believe I see a small dab of cream present on the corner of your bottom lip. You may wish to remove it before I begin serving you."

"Ah! Oh no! Oh no! I-I didn't even...notice it at all!"

"It is only part of my duty to notify you of these things, Milady Sakura."

Their relationship may not have been as passionate or openly heartfelt as some of the others, but there was definitely something akin to love to be found in between them.

"Th-Thank you, Jakob."

Sakura tried not to look too closely at the platter of food being placed in front of her. She didn't want to start acting greedy and snatching up even more food than she'd already had. She was afraid she had gained some weight recently, after all. Her robes had been quite restraining lately, especially whenever she applied her favorite kimono, which she had worn throughout almost the entire war. Her weight gain wasn't as extreme as Hinoka's or Kagero's or even her friend Hana's, but it seemed like weight gain was becoming a prevalent thing among the women of the Hoshidan army. Sakura did her best to restrain herself whenever she was in the presence of food, but more often than not, her willpower gave out to hunger. She couldn't help it; the snacks were so small, she always convinced herself that one or two wouldn't hurt her, but in the end she typically ate three, four or even five in a row.

Sakura was currently residing in a state of plumpness that closely matched Felicia's, except she was predominantly more pear-shaped. The priestess princess was quite grateful that her long, flowing robes concealed a lot of her chubbiness, but she couldn't hide ALL of it. Sakura's face had a great deal of chunkiness to it, her already-round face gaining chubbier cheeks and a pliable double chin that was connected to her neck with a thin bulge of flesh. Sakura shifted nervously in her seat. Her big butt took up the whole chair on its own. She used to think that her father's throne looked so large, yet now she feared she was thick enough that she could fill the whole thing and then some were she to sit in it. No one had ever spoken ill of her gain to her, not even Jakob or her family members, but she really wished she could have retained her slim figure of the past.

Jakob, ever the vigilant butler, was quick to take notice that Sakura had not touched anything on the platter yet. "Are you alright, Milady?"

"P-Please, Jakob, you can call me by my name, you know? I'd like that."

Jakob nodded. "Sakura, then. Are you feeling alright?"

Sakura's eyes stung as they began to shimmer with hot tears. "I am worried about my weight gain. Jakob, I fear I might be eating a little too much for my own good...even though it all tastes so good..."

The butler frowned.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I shouldn't be going on about my foolish little problem! I was able to keep fit because I was running around and healing everyone after every battle, but now that the war is over...! Oh, complaining about gaining weight like this almost makes it sound like I wish we still had battles to fight, doesn't it?"

Jakob shook his head as he took a seat down beside his young wife. "I think you are allowing your mind to wander too far into dangerous waters, Sakura. Forgive me for making such a judgment without having your full input first, but it is simply what I have come to suspect. You needn't be so afraid all the time."

"No, you don't need to apologize," Sakura shook her head. "You're absolutely right. I think I'm getting far too upset about all of this. I need to do better. I need to be stronger."

Jakob reached for the hot kettle across the table. He also took Sakura's empty tea cup with the intent of filling it. "There's no need for that, Sakura."

"Huh?"

"You are already one of the strongest women I know. You are strong, but it is more so in spirit and in heart. I think that is something worth a considerable strength as well. You don't need to always worry about being stronger."

Sakura's entire chubby face lit up brightly in a flash. Jakob smiled deftly to himself as the hot tea poured out as a steady stream into the cup.

"...What do you think about me, Jakob? Do you mind if I've gotten, um, softer?"

Jakob placed the tea cup aside. He leaned over near Sakura. He reached one arm around her and pulled her in by her shoulder. He looked straight into her eyes. Sakura's cheeks could not have shined any brighter if they tried. Her mouth hung slightly agape. She didn't notice for sure, but she had a feeling that her heart had skipped a beat right now.

"I find myself experiencing nothing but the purest joy whenever I am around you, Sakura. Your weight has not affected my opinions of you even once."

"Ah...oh..."

"Is that alright with you?"

"I'm...I'm so happy, Jakob..."

"Now then, as we finally have gotten that discussion out of the way," Jakob picked up one of the tiny cheesecakes and held it near his wife's trembling lips. "Please, do not hold yourself back at any cost. As your servant and husband, it makes me nothing short of immensely satisfied to see you eat, drink and enjoy that which I've helped prepare for you."

Sakura quietly opened her mouth and ate it. Of course, it was delicious. She ate another one and then another one. Jakob continued to slip the treats into his lovers' mouth by hand. All the while, Sakura's belly continued to gurgle happily. It wanted to be fed as much as Sakura did.

She still intended to join Hana on one of her runs tomorrow. Hopefully they could both make it to the end before passing out this time.

Part 2: borin23.deviantart.com/art/Fat…

Part one of a two-part story for Fire Emblem Fates! It took me a while to getting around to writing about this game, but I had been enjoying playing it (and some other games on the side) so much that I needed to finish Birthright and Conquest before I could feel like I could possibly write about the characters. I made sure not to mention anything involving the plot of the games in this story, so as long as you know the characters involved, you can enjoy it. This story ended up being a lot more lovey-dovey than I might have intended, I guess. However, like with The Fat Wives of Ylisse, I used the S-rank supports I made in my first playthrough as the couples for the story.

Still, Fates is a great game in all aspects, and it's a lot of fun. I would like to eventually write a Fat Wives of Nohr later too, but I will do the second part of Fat Wives of Hoshido first, as well as any other little Fates ideas I might have. Please let me know what you think of this story! I would appreciate it!

So you paired Hinoka with Kaiden? I plan to pair him with Corrin, but the way you've written the two here is making me doubt it.......
